HOW IT HELPS:
Boron is a trace mineral that is found in very small amounts in fruits and vegetables. Foods richest in boron content include avocados, apricots, currants, raisins, prunes, and most nuts. Meat, fish and dairy products are low in boron. Over the last 20 years, researchers have seen a dramatic decline in average dietary boron consumption.

Not good since all life on Earth depends on reliable boron intake and recent research suggests that evolution of life on Earth depended heavily on boron metabolism for the genesis of DNA.

For many years, scientists have recognized the importance of boron for bone health. Boron helps to stimulate bone-building activity and direct calcium, magnesium and vitamin D from the blood into our bones.

Sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone also play a role in maintaining healthy bones. In men, boron supplementation seems to boost free testosterone levels while lowering toxic estrogen levels. For women, boron studies show a healthy boost in both estrogen and testosterone levels. Boron does not create hormones but blocks the destruction of sex hormones. In this way, boron allows the hormones your body naturally makes to last longer and work harder for you. Boron does all of this while simultaneously reducing breast and prostate cancer risks.

Boron has significant anti-inflammatory effects and has been shown in clinical trials to cut levels of the inflammatory marker, C-reactive protein, by 50%. Why is that important? C-reactive protein has been linked to breast cancer, obesity, arthritis, insulin resistance, heart disease, strokes, diabetes, fatty liver disease, prostate cancer, lung cancer, and depression.

Who wouldn’t like to knock a few of those disease off the ‘worry’ list?

According to researchers, boron also boosts levels of NAD (the World’s universal molecule for energy production in all living things), activates sirtuins (proteins that heavily influence energy and aging), and promotes healthy aging (Mouchiroud L, Crit Rev Biochem Mol Biol. 2013 Jul-Aug 48(4): 397-408).

Scientists are also studying boron for its anti-cancer benefits. Researchers have already demonstrated lower rates of prostate, breast, cervical and lung cancers in areas of the world with diets and local soils rich in boron. Due to boron’s powerful anti-cancer effects, Big Pharma is developing boron compounds to fight cancer. Boron’s anti-viral effectiveness against HPV is thought to explain its benefits in significantly modulating cervical cancer risk.

Big Pharma is also creating boron-compounds to be prescribed as anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal drugs.

No need to wait. Boron is already part of my daily supplement regimen and deserves to be part of yours as well.

Usual dosage: Take one (1) to two (2) capsules of Boron daily with meals in divided doses. Improvements can be appreciated in the first two weeks but please allow up to two months to see maximum benefits.
