Directions: 10 freeway to Santa Monica. Exit Lincoln. Turn Left (South) on Lincoln and go about 1.4 miles just past the Whole Foods. Turn right on Rose and look directly after the first light. You will see a “Coffee” sign on the building for Groundworks Coffee store. You want to park in front or just past this building. Look to the left of the coffee store’s outdoor patio area and you will see a grey metal door that will be propped open during Rawesome’s hours. You enter here.

 

This is a co-op. Cost is $25 per year, prorated so the last three months of the year are $8. You purchase your membership when you walk in.

 

Rawesome’s membership system allows it to sell things that normal stores cannot sell due to California’s food laws. This is a “raw” food store. Everything they carry complies with the belief that food should not be heated. They carry Amish butter and raw dairy products, raw honey, organic vegetables, raw nuts, raw bison, seafood and cheese. Availability of products changes all the time, but they carry enough variety to make the trip worthwhile.

 

This is help-yourself shopping. Bring your cooler so you can place the raw dairy and meat directly into your cooler. Bring cash to pay for your purchases. They accept checks for purchases over $100.00.
